Villa Dafne is a wonderful villa, located close to Acireale, between the slopes of Mount Etna and the blue Ionian sea.
Surrounded by orange groves, the property is an ancient country house exquisitely restored by its owners - skilled in the use of recycled materials and in the inventive and original use of space.
The villa boasts a private garden with lawn, outdoor dining area and several furnished lounge areas, each with a different panorama of the volcano and the sea.
The outdoor areas are embellished with a small swimming pool (7 x 4 m) with panoramic view and two comfortable outdoor showers.
The property (220 sqm), divided into two units connected by communal external areas, can accommodate up to 6 people for a total of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
First building: The first unit is a spacious, bright and panoramic open space on several levels, one for the large, comfortable kitchen with dining area, from which three steps lead up to a zone designed for conversation or listening to music. This in its turn is separated by a wall from an area ideal for relaxing and watching TV.
A contemporary cement staircase – designed as an architectural feature – leads to a large loft space with balcony where is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower) and a studio.
High beamed ceilings and floor-ceiling windows mean that there are 360 degree views from just about every corner of the house.
The external areas are likewise elegant and beautiful, with dedicated areas for dining, conversation and just being lazy.
Second building: Large open-plan space with kitchen, living room and conversation area dividing from an alcove with double bed by three long white linen curtains – giving a result that is both romantic and contemporary. This sleeping area has its own bathroom with shower.
There is also a huge completely private double bedroom with a chic contemporary sunken bath, as well as a separate bathroom with shower. Opening off this room is a games room with table tennis.
A staircase leads up to a studio, from which there is access to the outside area, covered and furnished for alfresco living, with a large table and chaise longue. This area links the two buildings.
Included free Wi-Fi. Pets are not allowed.
Stunning villa with swimming pool, surrounded by orange groves, offering several outdoor furnished areas.

You can organise an excursion by boat from the nearby marina at Riposto.
The location is also the perfect base for exploring eastern Sicily:
Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe (3.350 m), still active and celebrated for its spectacular eruptions (mountain clothes are recommended);
the dramatic rock formations of the Alcantara gorge;
Taormina, known as "The Pearl of the Mediterranean". This charming city offers a holiday that includes the seaside, shopping, restaurants, day trips, nightlife and exhibitions, as well as concerts and dance performances at the ancient theatre from June to September;
Giardini Naxos, a seaside resort. It was one of the first Greek colonies in Sicily and, in fact, boasts a large archeological area. The seafront - the original structure of which is made of gravel, sand and rocks - is very extended, and it alternates free beaches to equipped beachfronts;
the effervescent Catania with its Baroque architecture.
