Your holiday at the heart of the Italian Alps

Gressoney is your place if your ideal holiday is a relaxing time in a quiet village in the mountains, where to regenerate and relieve stress at the foot of the Monte Rosa.

It is part of the Monterosa Ski complex, one of the largest in the Italian Alps, with a surface of over 200 km.

In addition to off-piste ski, there are plenty of sport activities you can practice both in winter (ice-skating, winter hiking and snowshoeing) and summer: choose whether you prefer exploring the tracks on your mountain-bike, climbing one of the most challenging sides of Monte Rosa, or trying adventurous rafting and kayaking on the Lys River.

Do not miss the Gressoney Sport Haus (about 5.000 sq.mt), where you can try such a wide array of sports, perhaps in the rainy days: swimming, tennis, squash, volleyball, and much more.

Moreover, the Gressoney valley has a long history: the Walser tradition, whose population has been inhabiting the area since the XIII century, still survives in museums and colourful events. During the most important religious celebrations, local people wear the typical costumes and parade through the streets.
