Lovely one bedroom apartment for rent in Naples of approx. 60 sq.mt on the 2nd floor of a XVII-century palace overlooking Piazza dei Martiti, one of the city's most exclusive squares.
The apartment is located in Calabritto palace, a stunning XVII-century building which belonged to the noble family Calabritto. It became famous under Carlo III di Borbone, when he ordered the palace to be closed down, as it threatened to be more prestigious than the Royal Palace itself. Something from the original design still remains, such as part of the courtyard and both the northern and the eastern façades with the massive entrance doors.
The apartment opens onto the living room with cloister vaults, which offers a dining area for 4, a double sofa bed and TV corner. From here you enter the other rooms the flat consists of, including the small box room.
The cloister-vaulted bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a 6-door closet. The kitchen is fitted with a gas cooktop with 4 hobs, a sink, dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom has shower.
The apartment is located in Chiaia district, one of Naples’ most refined areas steps from the promenade. Moreover, Parco Comunale and Castel dell’Ovo, two Naples’ landmarks, are both within walking distance.
The area is also rich in shops, restaurants and cafés.
It really suited us for our stay. We thought that the kitchen was not equipped well enough for our needs and we bought a few additional items. Giovanni also brought extra glasses, extra towels/sheets and a corkscrew. The building is great and the security personnel helpful. The neighborhood is great and has a nice feel about it. The location is a little isolated from public transport however we found our way around after a day or so there. Would definitely return if back in Naples for a long visit.
