Opéra: feel part of the fascinating Parisian atmosphere…

L’Opéra National de Paris (9th arrondissement) is located in Paris’ thriving business district, lined with Haussmanian buildings and just moments from the Louvre and the city centre. Paris’ Opera is really worth a visit, and it will allow you to feel part of the fascinating Parisian atmosphere.

The Opéra is composed of two buildings: the Opéra Garnier, that houses the ‘Corps de Ballet of the Opera’, and the Opéra Bastille.

The Opera Garnier, built by Charles Garnier under the influence of Napoleon III, was inaugurated in 1875: inspired to XVI-XVII century castles, the foyer is stunningly beautiful and showcases gold-encrusted decorations, frescoes, crystal chandelliers and elegantly carved columns. The main staircase is also a brilliant example of French art, with its cascade of lights.

The ultra-modern Opera Bastille, designed by Carlos Ott, is located south to Paris city centre (subway stop Bastille), instead: inaugurated in 1989, it is the biggest European theatre.

The Opera district is perfect to live at the very heart of Paris – here you will surely find the apartment of your dreams either you come for business or pleasure.

The Opera district is very well served by all means of public transport: you find a number of bus and metro stops (Opéra, Quatre-Septembre, Pyramides, Madeleine, Havre Caumartin, Chaussée d’Antin – La Favette, Richelieu Drouot), that lead to almost every place in the city.
